Matt Dallas est un acteur américain, ainé d'une famille de 4 enfants. C'est à l'âge de 12 ans qu'il obtient son premier rôle. En effet sa grand-mère l'emmena à une audition pour une pièce de théâtre "The Ugly Ducklin" où il décrocha le rôle de Gander.
C'est à l'âge de 18 ans que Matt déménage de Phoenix pour s'installer à Los Angeles. Il a obtenu ainsi quelques petits rôles dans plusieurs films tels que Living The Dream, Wannabe, Camp Daze, et Way of The Vampire.
Il est également apparu dans des séries telles que Entourage, ainsi que dans un episode de Gilmore Girls.
En 2005, Matt est l'acteur principale avec Misha Barton (Newport Beach, The O.C.) du clip musical "Goodbye My lover" de James Blunt.
C'est en 2006 qu'il se fera vraiment connaitre du public pour son rôle de Kyle dans la série Kyle XY diffusé sur ABC Family aux Etats-Unis et W9 en France (bientot M6).
